**** … A posthumous marvel … gorgeous and enigmatic. Watching it is akin to opening a series of nesting dolls, or leafing through a book of dreams.” –Guardian

For what would prove to be his final film, Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami gave himself a challenge: to bridge his two art forms, cinema and photography. 24 FRAMES reconstructs the moments immediately before and after a photograph is taken, using 24 still images and digitally animating them into quietly moving short vignettes, studies in the passage of time and in the shifting of our own perceptions. It’s a elegiac farewell from one of cinema’s true masters. (Iran-France)
