The Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) arts organization established in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1979.  CCA’s mission is: to create, maintain and promote a vibrant regional gathering place for the exploration and presentation of diverse and challenging contemporary art forms and ideas through our interdisciplinary programs: film, media, visual arts, performing arts and educational outreach.
 

We are currently looking for someone to become CCA's new Executive Director


POSITION OVERVIEW
The Executive Director is employed by and is accountable to the Board of Directors of the Center for Contemporary Arts.  The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of all activities of CCA: administrative, financial, artistic programming, community outreach, fundraising, institutional advancement and marketing. The Executive Director is expected to create and maintain efficient, effective means to support the mission of the organization. The Executive Director reports directly to the President of the Board.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
ADMINISTRATIVE  
 - Provides ethical leadership and motivation for staff, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration
 - Selects personnel and positively increases the effectiveness of the staff through skillful organizing, coaching, mentoring, as well as
enthusiasm, communication and delegation
 - Evaluates each staff member regularly, based on specific, objective criteria and each employee’s job description
 - Studiously builds rapport with staff members, the Board of Directors, committee members and volunteers
 - Oversees multiple events and logistical requirements, working with the department managers, for all budgeted exhibits, events and day-to-day operations.
 - Provides staff liaison for all Board committees, taking responsibility for the accuracy of all data and reports.
 - Oversees the selection, maintenance and management of a timely and accurate database system(s) in a manner that provides effective administrative support to the Board, staff and committees.
 - Oversees the facilities management of the CCA campus, including buildings, systems and grounds.


QUALIFICATIONS  
A Bachelors degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of successful management experience.  Candidates are preferred that also demonstrate significant experience with, and knowledge of, the greater Santa Fe arts community
 
SALARY AND BENEFITS
CCA's compensation and benefits are competitive; salary to be determined commensurate with experience.
