Craig AndersonCraig Anderson - Executive Director

Craig Anderson is an artist, educator, curator, exhibitions designer, and professional
museum administrator. Just prior to accepting the position of Executive Director at
the Center for Contemporary Art, he was Assistant Director for Exhibitions and
Collections at the Miami Art Museum in South Florida. Anderson was the Head of Exhibitions Administration at SITE Santa Fe for many years and then the Director of Exhibits Central at the Museums of New Mexico. Prior to holding those positions, he was also Department Head for painting, photography and printmaking, as well as Chair of the Faculty Council at the Institute of American Indian Arts. He received an M.F.A in Painting and Video from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a B.A. in Fine Arts from Hamline University in Minnesota. Early in his career, he held positions at the Walker Art Center and the Minneapolis Institute of Art, before working for a number of contemporary artists in Venice Beach, CA. He maintained a studio in Austin, Texas while teaching at Southwest Texas University. Anderson returned to Santa Fe to Direct the Center for Contemporary Art on August 1st of this year.

Filip Celander – Digital Media and Education Outreach Director

Prior to joining CCA, Filip owned his own film production company in Stockholm, Sweden, where he directed and produced work for MTV, Kanal 5, TV3, and Viasat. Before moving to the US, he worked extensively throughout Europe as a freelance camera operator and editor. Filip has been involved in the educational programming department at the Telluride Film Festival for the past twelve years.  He has also worked for Taos Talking Pictures, Smithsonian, True/False and Bioneers film festivals.  Filip holds a BA in Moving Images from the College of Santa Fe. Filip is currently the Digital Media Arts Director at the Center for Contemporary Arts.

Javier Hernandez - Cinematheque Manager

Having always displayed an avid interest in art & film, Javier studied painting at The Cooper Union in New York City. Here he also began directing experimental short films. After graduation, he worked as the production manager for the directors collabrative, Panoptic, inc. where he produced and co-directed commercials and music videos for 5 years including Young Love's Underground, and The Exit's Back to the Rebels.

Javier first visited Santa Fe in 2006. One year later, he moved here from New York to participate in the New Mexico Film Makers Intensive Director's Program, where he wrote and directed the short film, Beatrice, in 2008.

Jason Silverman – Cinematheque Director

Jason has curated and produced programs that have drawn more than 340,000 in attendance for organizations including the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, Lensic Center for the Arts, SITE Santa Fe, Bioneers Conference, El Museo del Barrio, the Santa Fe Opera and the True/False Film Festival. He has served as a staff member at the Telluride Film Festival for 20 years, is former artistic director of Taos Talking Pictures (named one of the world's top ten film festivals), and has served as a panelist, juror or nominator for the SXSW and Sundance Film Festivals, the Rockefeller Media Arts Fellowships and Creative Capital. As a filmmaker, he produced award-winning features including Olympia (opening night film at SXSW; closing night film at Slamdance; Sundance Channel) and Shameless (Grand Jury Prize, Great Plains Film Fest). His current work-in-progress SEMBENE! was recepient of a Sundance Documentary Fund Award and will be presented at the prestigious Toronto Documentary Forum in 2010. He has published more than 400 pieces for Wired, along with pieces for the Santa Fean, Austin Chronicle, Time Out New York, Psychology Today and UTNE Reader, and his collection of essays Untold New Mexico (Sunstone Press, 2006) is used as a textbook at the University of New Mexico. His essays on film and culture have been published in eight other collections. He is an adjunct professor at the Institute of American Indian Arts.

Jason holds a BA in English from the University of Michigan and a MA in English from Middlebury College.

Lacey Adams - Graphic Designer and Web Master

Lacey worked at the Center for Contemporary Arts for three years, beginning as a box office employee, until she became the Administrative Director. Now Lacey is a free-lance Graphic Designer and Web Master. She designs and manages websites in Santa Fe and New York.
