What is Cosplay? “The activity or practice of dressing up as a character from a work of fiction (such as a comic book, video game, or television show)...” (Merriam-Webster, 2015).
Join CCA for an evening of pop culture and drawing in a friendly, supportive and creative environment. Models will be dressed up in comic book apparel, utilizing props to create dynamic action poses for varying amounts of time. Create a life-sized exquisite corpse or grab a prop and take a photo in the Instagram photo booth. This happening will be lead by Illustrator John Tollett with help from Eric Thomson of Argos Gallery. Live Music (TBA). Alcoholic beverages by New Mexico Hard Cider.
What to Bring
Spectators: Cameras & come dressed in costume to win prizes!
Artists: DRY materials ONLY: pencil, charcoal, copper etchings, even your laptop or tablet to paint digitally. Limited drawing material and easels will be provided by CCA & Argos Gallery.
